Overview:
SOSi is currently seeking an experienced Configuration Manager join our team in Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, Honolulu, Hawaii. The customer based out of Honolulu, Hawaii creates, manages, and supports IT solutions for our customers, its mission and its 5,000 customers throughout the Pacific theater. Our team solves challenging technical problems that enable our customers to realize critical and time sensitive C2 strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Detailed understanding of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) change, configuration, and release management processes
- Establish, control, and evolve Enterprise baselines, configurations, and services, Configuration Management Processes, and Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
- Ensure Configuration Management Plan is effective within MPE-ES
- Ensure configuration items are added to the CMDB and/or documented
- Coordinates Configuration Management between teams
- Identify and Manage MPE Configuration Items (CI) to include hardware, software, documentation, and relationships
- Identify Configuration improvement opportunities within MPE-ES
- Identify Configuration issues; analyze and formulate appropriate solutions
- Plan, design, and create the CMDB including data discovery and import
- Maintain/update CMDB
- Direct, prioritizes, and schedules configuration audits; ensures that any corrective action identified in process and/or CMDB audits are completed
- Chairs and manages the Configuration Control Board (CCB)
- Review and manage baseline configuration change proposals based on events, requests or projects as needed
- Contribute to Technical Library; when notified of changes, ensure all Technical Library documents reflect revised standards
- Train MPE-ES personnel in Configuration Management Processes, procedures, and assets
- Generate reports and metrics upon request
- Assist in the analysis, design, development, testing, encoding, integration, documentation, installation, operation, evaluation, maintenance, and improvement of MPE-ES Team
- Assist in the monitoring and auditing of MPE-ES services: network management, auditing and performance analysis
- Support the implementation, documentation, exercise demonstrations or analysis of new or existing capabilities, and/or creation, review and presentation of technical reports and briefings
- Based on Government-specified requirements, analyze, design, develop, test, encode, integrate, document, install, operate, evaluate, maintain, and improve MPE-ES capabilities
- Interface with team leads and team members to collect, develop, document, and submit status updates via a Weekly Activity Report (WAR)
- Participates in special projects and tasks as required.
- Active SECRET DoD security clearance and US Passport
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent years of experience) AND a minimum of two (2) years of related experience in enterprise configuration management.
- Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundations Certification or able to obtain within six months of hire
- DOD 8570.01 compliant at IAT level II (CCNA-Security, CND, CySA , GICSP, GSEC, Security CE, or SSCP) or higher is required.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical as well as non-technical information, both orally and in writing
