Job Title : Long-Term Substitute Teacher – Social Studies
Location : Local Charter School, Delaware
Job Description :
We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Long-Term Substitute Teacher to cover a Social Studies position while the current teacher is on maternity leave. This role will begin in February.
Key Responsibilities :
Deliver engaging and interactive Social Studies lessons aligned with state standards.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and critical thinking.
Follow the established curriculum and lesson plans, while also providing assessments and evaluations of student progress.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student performance and class activities.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and assignments.
Qualifications :
At least a Bachelor’s degree in any field.
Strong classroom management skills and a passion for teaching Social Studies.
Ability to adapt quickly to a new teaching environment and follow established lesson plans.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
