What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender position at SoSoBa?
Job Summary:
A SoSoBa Bartender is responsible for providing a driving role to front-of-house operations in presenting cocktails, beers, wines, sake, and meals during high-volume times. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a high-volume bar and restaurant setting.
In lower volume times, Bartender's duties include organizing and labeling prep items in storage coolers, prepping fresh juice and garnishes, stocking Front of House storage and service areas, and maintaining a clean and orderly bar area and dining room in cooperation with the Front of House Team. Duties will also include cleaning and sanitizing workstations, opening and closing the Bar, and prep areas. Cash handling, shift reports and cashouts, timekeeping, and record keeping according to SoSoBa standards and practices.
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual with limited oversight in daily duties. The ability to prioritize and focus on what is most important at any given time is a key asset of a SoSoBa Bartender as we are a fast-paced, small-footprint, high-volume restaurant. Bartenders also take tables so you must be an excellent server as well. A commitment to quality service, teamwork, and cooperation, as well as flawless expedient execution of our bar program, is a must for the SoSoBa Bartender.

Responsibilities:
- Make all house cocktails according to specified recipes.
- Cash Management
- Serving and Bartending duties
- Opening and closing the till for each shift
- Cashing out the FOH and managing tip-outs and deposits
- Filling out proper shift change/closing reports at the end of the shift.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years experience minimum in a high-volume bar/restaurant setting.
- A commitment to quality service experience for your bar patrons.
- A willingness to serve and bartend. Our bartenders have sections.
- A positive professional attitude.
- Willingness to work in a tight-knit team environment.
