Actuarial Analyst II
Salary range: $74,210 - $141,830 (varies by location and experience).
Varied Locations as stipulated below (hybrid 4 days a week)
We are seeking a dedicated Actuarial Analyst II to independently apply actuarial methodologies, complete structured projects, and serve as a technical subject matter expert.
This position requires working on-site 4 days per week and can be based in San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, Charlotte, NC, or Tampa, FL. Relocation assistance is not available.
What You’ll Do:
- Apply actuarial methodologies to develop models, improve accuracy, and analyze key variables.
- Build and implement tools for actuarial analysis and process improvement.
- Identify and enhance existing actuarial, mathematical, and statistical processes.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and escalate when necessary.
- Create training materials and mentor new team members.
- Translate technical actuarial insights into actionable business recommendations.
- Communicate findings effectively to both actuarial and non-actuarial stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with risk and regulatory policies.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of actuarial, business, or analytical experience in place of a degree.
- 2 years of actuarial or analytical business experience.
- Completion of at least 3 Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) exams.
- Proficiency in actuarial, mathematical, and statistical techniques for decision-making.
- Intermediate knowledge of Python, R, SQL, SAS, BI tools, or other analysis software.
- Ability to connect technical insights with business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills for both actuarial and non-actuarial audiences.
- Experience in personal and/or specialty lines pricing.
- Military experience (service member, spouse, or domestic partner).
