What You'll Do:
- Manage pre-transplant evaluations, including patient education and coordination of testing.
- Coordinate the transplant process, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration among the transplant team.
- Provide post-transplant care, including patient education, medication management, and monitoring for complications.
- Serve as a patient advocate and educator, empowering patients and their families to actively participate in their care.
- Educate nursing staff and colleagues on transplant protocols and best practices.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
What You'll Need:
- Registered Nurse (RN) diploma.
- Current RN license in the state of Louisiana.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- 3 years of related experience with an associate degree OR 2 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing.
- Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator (CCTC) through the American Board of Transplant Certification (ABTC).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- In-depth knowledge of pre-transplant, post-transplant, and inpatient transplant clinical practice.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records and other relevant software applications.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and patient advocacy skills.
