Overview:
We are seeking a Data Specialist – Workday Data Conversion to support full-platform Workday implementations. This role involves requirements gathering, design, and execution of data conversion processes, working closely with project leadership to ensure high-quality, repeatable, and effective data migration activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage data conversion timelines and collaborate with project management teams on tenant management.
- Plan and execute configuration migration using Workday’s delivered toolset.
- Serve as the primary resource for converting data from legacy systems and spreadsheets into Workday HCM & Financials.
- Develop ETL scripts to transform and prepare data for Workday migration.
- Lead data validation efforts to ensure accuracy and consistency within Workday.
- Assist clients in mapping legacy data, identifying data quality issues, and overseeing all data conversion activities.
- Provide key communication and updates to project and client leadership.
- Collaborate with client counterparts to successfully deliver on shared objectives.
- Identify risks and develop alternative technical and functional solutions when necessary.
- Drive process improvements and enhance methodologies based on project experiences.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Workday data conversion or similar ERP/software implementations.
- OR a minimum of 3 years of experience with Workday data conversion plus equivalent experience in other ERPs.
- OR no degree with 9 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to travel up to 25%, with a balance of remote and on-site support as needed.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience leading at least two full Workday Phase 1 implementations in a Data Conversion Lead role.
- 2 years of ETL, XML, and SQL experience in data conversion.
- Strong background in reporting, analytics, and BI tools.
- Proficiency in Excel, Visio, MS Project, and PowerPoint.
Compensation:
- Salary Range: $118,000 - $196,000 (based on experience, skills, and qualifications).
- Position may be eligible for a discretionary performance bonus.
