The ideal candidate will reinforce patient and family education, administer treatments and medications, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and document patient data in accordance with professional scope and unit standards.
- Address the holistic needs of patients and their families, encompassing physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual aspects.
- Provide patient and family education, addressing needs and facilitating discharge planning.
- Execute direct patient care, including treatments, medication administration, and diagnostic studies, adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions and adjust care plans based on patient responses.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
- Participate in unit-based decision-making and contribute to evidence-based practice initiatives.
- Offer input for performance appraisals of care team members.
- Mentor and precept new staff and students.
