Role Overview:
The Human Resources Manager will oversee all HR functions at a specific manufacturing facility, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a strategic partner to the plant management team.
- Act as a liaison between plant floor management and the Plant Manager on all HR matters within a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
- Collaborate with the corporate HR team on various initiatives.
- Participate in plant safety, wellness, and quality committees.
- Provide hands-on employee relations support, including coordinating communication and meetings.
- Manage employee relations issues such as conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and harassment investigations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of investigations and employee records.
- Conduct regular interactions with employees across all shifts to foster a positive work environment.
- Oversee performance management, including appraisals, development programs, and corrective actions.
- Manage the full talent acquisition process for both salaried and hourly employees, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and background checks.
- Administer the site's affirmative action plan and hiring logs.
- Manage employee onboarding and orientation programs.
- Lead organizational development activities, including succession planning.
- Provide guidance and support for positive employee relations.
- Assess training needs and collaborate with corporate HR to develop and implement training programs.
- Coordinate medical coverage, leave management, and workers' compensation.
- Manage HRIS systems, including payroll and employee data.
- Maintain employee files and records.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- 5 years of HR management experience.
- 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal labor laws.
- Ability to work occasional evening and weekend hours.
- Ability to travel approximately 10% overnight.
