Lead Process Engineer – Full-Time

💼 Salary Range: $86,000 – $106,000 per year
Overview
We're seeking a highly motivated Lead Process Engineer to support innovation and development within advanced tissue manufacturing technologies. In this role, you’ll partner across R&D, supply chain, operations, and external vendors to drive impactful advancements in product development and mill processes. Key Responsibilities
- Lead by example in safety, quality, ethics, sustainability, and inclusion.
- Mentor and coach team members to enhance technical capabilities and deliver results.
- Collaborate across teams (R&D, mill operations, supply chain, procurement, vendors) to develop and implement innovative process improvements.
- Translate brand and consumer needs into actionable process and product innovations.
- Anticipate long-term business and technical needs, helping to establish competitive advantage.
- Maintain subject matter expertise in process engineering technologies and communicate their potential business impact.
- Protect and document innovations through appropriate intellectual property processes.
- Participate in and occasionally lead innovation-focused projects aimed at improving product systems and processes.
- Travel up to 25%.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering or a relevant scientific discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience in manufacturing or related roles.
- Proven ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams to execute process improvements.
Preferred:
- Experience with UCTAD product systems or tissue manufacturing technology.
- Expertise in improving the safety and performance of high-speed manufacturing or converting operations.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze process data and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to discuss technical challenges in business contexts.
- Leadership experience in coaching and mentoring junior engineers.
- Ability to build trust and foster strong relationships with mill and team partners.
