Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and scan documents, verify patient information, and accurately enter prescription orders into the computer system.
- Communicate with patients to confirm data, resolve insurance claim issues, request payment details, determine order priority and delivery arrangements, escalate medication-related concerns to pharmacists and prescribers, and coordinate treatment with on-site facility staff.
- Interpret provider prescriptions and create accurate orders, access, input, and retrieve prescription and relevant medical/laboratory information from the computer system, and verify insurance coverage and reimbursement eligibility.
- Serve as a point of contact between the company, patients, insurance providers, manufacturers, and physician offices through phone, fax, and email communication.
- Receive prescriptions and ensure all necessary information, including insurance verification, is obtained for processing.
- Process specialized enrollment forms with accuracy into program-specific system requirements.
- Process unique privacy-related forms and accurately input data into system according to specific analytical needs.
- Process prescriptions using pharmacy dispensing software in compliance with all relevant state laws for the dispensing location.
- Maintain thorough documentation of all communications with patients, caregivers, insurance companies, providers, and manufacturers.
- Stay informed about new developments and trends in treatment therapies.
- Communicate patient status updates to physician offices and clinics.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality.
- May also dispense a range of medications, including specialty pharmaceuticals, injectables, cell and gene therapies, and related supplies, adhering to all applicable state and federal regulations and company policies.
- May also be involved in the picking, packing, and shipping of outgoing pharmacy orders, ensuring the inclusion of medications, necessary supplies, and patient education materials.
- May also perform tasks related to drug and supply ordering, inventory management, and warehouse duties, including proper storage of medications and supplies, appropriate refrigeration of perishable items, and the monitoring and adjustment/calibration of pharmacy equipment.
- May also pick, pack, and ship outgoing specialty distribution orders, ensuring the inclusion of medications, related supplies, and accurate documentation.

Required Qualifications:
- Active Pharmacy Technician License
- 2 years of experience working as a Pharmacy Technician
- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams.
- Excellent multitasking and detail-oriented skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and maintain focus without disrupting others.
Salary : $40,000 - $48,000
