What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rental And Repair Service Writer position at Sotar Inflatables?
Sotar Inflatables in Merlin, OR, is looking for one rental and repair service writer to join our 13-person team. We are located at 724 Ort Lane. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, motivated, and reliable.
Preferred Previous Experience
1. Booking rental equipment of any kind and scheduling customers' use on a calendar
2. Service writing or equivalent customer interactions such as invoicing, scheduling, and configuring customer orders.
3. Customer Service experience.
4. Rafting or other outdoor activities.
5. Proficient with PC and email.
6. Experience with QuickBooks or equivalent software for billing and bookkeeping.
Supervisors:
This position reports to the Sales and Production managers. The sales manager's authority covers billing and customer service, while the production manager covers repair and production labor.
Duties
A. Raft rental
1. Uses customer calendar and prepares raft packages for customer pickup
2. Manages website for customer bookings
3. Checks rental rafts for damage and bills customers if needed. Keeps rental fleet in working order by submitting proper paperwork to the repair team to make all repairs before the next rental.
B. Raft Repair Department
1. Fills out intake paperwork for customers' boats needing repair.
2. Once the repair team evaluates boats, send estimates to customers.
3. If an estimate is approved, collect the deposit and submit work orders for repairs
4. Collect final payments and arrand pickup or shipping customer boat.
