Main Purpose of the Job
The Lab Technician is responsible for mixing and testing various sealant and adhesive products.
Lab technician reports to the R&D manager.
Key areas of responsibilities and accountability
- Prepare lab scale batches and collaborate with R&D to optimize / analyze formulations.
- Manages and maintains testing of R&D batches and competitive materials.
- Follow good manufacturing practices (GMP) and adhere to all laboratory safety protocols for handling of chemicals in a regulated environment.
- Operate and maintain laboratory and mixing area in a clean and organized manner.
- Ability to support color matching / development process.
- Ability to interpret and report results to the product developers.
- Over time, additional laboratory responsibilities may be given.
Requirements
Result-oriented, hands-on team player who can think strategically.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Construction field.
