Job Description
Soudal is currently seeking an enthusiastic, team-oriented Mixing Technician. The Mixing Technician will perform mixing processes to support production. Ensure all Safety / Quality / manufacturing standards, policies, practices, protocols, and processes are adhered.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Interpret : read and interpret work instructions and coordinate the blending of materials per SOP.
Evaluate : Calculate mathematical evaluations for the appropriate portion of mixing chemicals and compounds using work instructions.
Machine Operation : Run all operations of mixing including tank farm management, tote management, drum presses, and color blending.
Vendor and Supplier Relations : Collaborate effectively with various vendors and suppliers to uphold quality and safety standards. Develop and implement negotiation strategies to deliver cost savings.
Performance Monitoring : Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) for the team and track performance against Soudal's expectations, ensuring continuous improvement and efficiency gains.
Quality : Conduct specialized testing and investigations to uncover quality issues.
Qualifications :
Mathematical Skills : Ability to work with mathematical equations and basic algebra utilizing a calculator. Must also be able to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Analytical Acumen : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to independently execute tasks and escalate issues as needed.
Interpersonal and Communication Skills : Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, essential for effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
Language and Reasoning Skills : Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret related documentation to develop the recipes for mixing compounds. Communicate issues found in the manufacturing processes and suggest improvements.
Education : High School education or GED is required. One to two years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Physical Requirements :
Required to stand for long periods of time.
Required to walk for long periods of time.
Must be able to use hands and fingers, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Sit occasionally.
Must be able to frequently lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision.
