What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aquatics Program Assistant Manager position at Souderton Area High School?
Assistant Aquatics Manager position available for our Community Education Aquatics Program beginning immediately. Position is several hours each week (nights and weekends) up to 150-200 hours per year. Prior lifeguard/aquatics experience preferred.
Report Directly to Aquatics Director
- Attend and Contribute to Aquatics Staff Meetings
- Provide leadership and direction for all Aquatics programs
- Act as a direct contact with parents and participants
Work with Aquatics Director on:
- Scheduling
- Coordinating staff
- Monthly Billing
- Communication regarding schedule changes
- Re-scheduling based on HS match and meet schedules.
Assist with Scheduling, coordinating and staffing:
- Private Parties
- Private Swimming Lessons
- Swimming Lessons
- Stroke and Turn
- Spring Training
- Polo Clinic
- Open Swim
- Lifeguarding
- Recerts for Lifeguarding
- SPORTS Camp (billing)
- ESY Camp (billing)
- ADVENTURE Camp
- LUNCH BUNCH Camp
- SCUBA
Staff
- Supervise lifeguards and swim lesson instructors
- Scout for new recruits
- Help with staff training
- Supplies
- Maintain Aquatics supplies
- Note any additional supplies required
Additional Things
- Possible teaching opportunities based on experience and schedule
- Performs regular safety inspections of pools and equipment to reduce hazards and to provide maximum safety to the patrons.
- Surveys patrons and evaluates programs to determine public needs and how to increase program efficiency and effectiveness; receives patron complaints and suggestions and responds appropriately.
- Currently CPO is held by SASD maintenance- they handle all chemical needs.
