Description
We are a regional earthwork construction company that performs site preparation, utility work, and demolition. We are seeking an Estimator/Project Manager to help manage an expanding portfolio of construction projects. This person will be involved in all aspects of construction projects including estimating, planning and scheduling, management of subcontractors, and wrap-up activities. This position includes competitive salary, benefits, paid time off, and requires little to no overnight travel.
Responsibilities
• Perform accurate earthwork quantity takeoffs
• Understand and utilize soils reports as part of the takeoff
• Prepare pricing for various types of earthwork projects
• Work with superintendents to track change orders and manage the billing process
• Manage subcontractors as needed
Skills and Qualifications
• A minimum of 5 years of experience performing the responsibilities outlined above
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Ability to plan ahead and see the “big picture”
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, specifically Word and Excel
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster a “team” environment
• Positive attitude and the ability to represent the Company well
Work Environment
Performance of duties will consist primarily of time spent in the office, but will include local driving to and inspection of outdoor commercial jobsites. Inspection of jobsites will require walking on a variety of surfaces in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
