What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Development Analyst position at Soul Equity Solutions?
About the Role
The Business Development Analyst will join a private investment firm, in their Philadelphia, PA office. The Business Development Analyst will report directly to the Managing Director of Business Development and will have exposure to working with the broader Investment Team to support the continued growth of the firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Help manage the firm's investment opportunities. This includes helping facilitate work with the firm's deal team, conflict checking, assigning to buyside brokers, and managing the pipeline of opportunities.
- Create and manage internal business development reports.
- Track and maintain a pipeline of investment opportunities for platforms and add-ons across the firm's funds.
- Manage and maintain relationships with the firm's buyside brokers.
- Create and maintain marketing blasts for the BD team.
- Actively contribute in all BD meetings and firm wide meetings.
- Qualify inbound investment opportunities based on the firm's investment criteria.
- Maintain the firm's sourcing update materials.
- Work with the internal team to assess and onboard potential time-saving technologies, including but not limited to AI.
- Work with the firm's AI team to clean, optimize, and analyze data.
Professional Experience & Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree from a competitive four-year institution
- At least two years of experience in professional services
- Experience working with and maintaining a CRM
- Preferred experience in private equity, investment banking, commercial banking, consulting, wealth management or private equity services is not required, but not required.
- Strong project management skills and organization skills.
- Preferred experience with M&A data / software platforms (e.g. Pitchbook, etc) is not required, but not required.
Salary
- $100,000 to $120,000 total comp
- Commensurate with experience and ability to perform on collective goals.
