Our client is an investment management firm with over $1.5B AUM located in Boston.
About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated professional to lead the processes needed to ensure the proper execution of the improvements in any Portfolio Company. As the firm invests in a new company, the deal owner plans critical enhancements to ensure the required growth and value creation. These enhancements typically are in well-known areas: procurement, pricing, systems & processes, FP&A, S&OP, talent assessment and incentive structures. Key Responsibilities

Support the deal team in building the initial “landing plan” for a new investment, defining the key priorities on the operational and talent gaps, as well as building a roll-out plan to be executed once we invest into a company

Support and lead key initiatives in the portfolio companies, ensuring the growth and value creation needed

Develop a network of consultants and advisors that can be leveraged for specific initiatives within the portfolio companies

Build frequent reports and check-ins to ensure implementation and execution of the plans both within Solum and with the management teams
Required Skills & Experience

Exemplary academic credentials
-
Over 15 years of post-bachelor business experience in areas that help us manage our Value Creation approach – PE, operational roles in large firms, consulting, and integration services.

Experience in previous operational roles in relevant senior management positions with a full understanding of how a larger company operates from within

Some experience with PE and the dynamics of portfolio management

Fluency in English and Spanish required. Portuguese a plus.

Experience with agriculture, fresh produce supply chains, CPG, or retail

Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, including the ability to efficiently distill information into key investment takeaways

Key leadership skills: being able to work collaboratively with the investment team and management teams

Being able to build relationships and lead value-creation plan implementation

Strong oral and written communication skills

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with an ability to own projects and operate with minimal supervision

Strong work ethic with the highest ethical standards

Team player who prioritizes the success of the team over individual achievements

Willingness to travel extensively, both domestically and internationally
Salary
Salary is competitive, depending on experience.
