Pile Driver / Welder
Soule Construction, LLC., is a locally owned construction company that specializes in pile driving, seawall installation, concrete bridges, concrete marine structures, shoreline protection and stabilization, earthwork, dredging, civil construction, and other water borne construction activities.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Winning attitude with a solution’s based mindset.
- Ability to drive various types of piles including Precast Concrete, Steel, Pipe, Timber and Sheet. Experience should include proper rigging methods, sequencing and general pile driving knowledge.
- Experience in using pile driving equipment.
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times;
- Hands on experience in working with pile driving templates and be able to provide input of design of templates.
- Experience in crane rigging and signaling required.
- Experience in rigging, winch operations, welding, torch cutting steel, operating skiffs or push boats preferred;
- Experience in some steel fabrication techniques including setup and use of a torch, welding machine and welding.
- Tasks will require physical effort in the field through normal construction practices to include:
- Working from heights
- Working in all weather conditions
- Working over water
- Carrying up to 50 lbs
Out of town work may be required. Dependent on job locations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
