Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of food items based on the menu.
  • Ensure all food is served fresh, well-presented, and in accordance with safety standards (e.g., proper storage, temperature control, sanitation).
  • Monitor and replenish stock of food items during the shift to ensure we don’t run out.
  • Ensure that the food truck is clean and organized before, during, and after the shift.
  • Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, and other beverages based on customer orders.
  • Maintain the consistency and quality of beverages, following recipes and guidelines for flavor and presentation.
  • Ensure the coffee station is clean and all equipment is in good working order.
  • Greet customers with a warm and friendly attitude, making them feel welcomed and valued.
  • Take accurate orders, listen to customer requests, and provide recommendations for both food and beverages.
  • Ensure orders are served promptly, and resolve any customer complaints or issues
  • Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process customer transactions efficiently (handle cash, credit card, and mobile payment transactions accurately.)
  • Keep track of daily sales and report any discrepancies to owners.
  • Regularly clean and sanitize the food truck, including countertops, equipment, utensils, and storage areas.
  • Ensure all dishes, glasses, and utensils are washed, dried, and stored correctly.
  • Maintain an organized food prep area and beverage station, ensuring products are easy to access and well-stocked.
  • Help monitor inventory levels for both food and coffee supplies, reporting when stocks are low.
  • Assist in restocking and organizing supplies in freezer during shifts.
  • Be proactive about suggesting reorders to ensure we don’t run out of key ingredients.

Opening Duties:

  • Unlock and check the truck for any damage or issues that need immediate attention.
  • Turn on all necessary equipment, including grills, coffee machines, and toaster, fryers, ensuring everything is in good working condition.
  • Set up the kitchen and beverage stations, ensuring all tools, utensils, and supplies are readily available.
  • Ensure that food items, beverages, and any other required supplies are properly organized and stocked.
  • Set up the POS system and ensure cash, receipts, and other transaction tools are ready for use.
  • Conduct a quick cleanliness check to ensure the truck is sanitary and all surfaces are wiped down.
  • Ensure that the menu is displayed clearly and accurately for customers.

Closing Duties:

  • Clean and sanitize all kitchen and beverage equipment, utensils, countertops, and surfaces.
  • Ensure all food items are safely stored and disposed of according to food safety guidelines.
  • Turn off all equipment (grills, coffee machines, etc.) and shut down the truck, ensuring that everything is powered down properly.
  • Take out the trash and dispose of it in the appropriate bins - this includes the trash can outside for customers
  • Count and securely store any remaining cash from the POS system, ensuring everything is balanced.
  • Check that the truck is locked and all supplies are secured before leaving.
  • Conduct a final walkthrough to ensure the truck is ready for the next shift, noting any maintenance issues for follow-up.
  • Keep the area in the parking lot and around the truck maintained and cleaned and to bring the umbrellas in each night and lock them up.
  • Be flexible and willing to assist with tasks outside of your usual responsibilities when needed.

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety at all times.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Be punctual and reliable for your shifts.
  • Be ready to work in a fast-paced environment, especially during peak times
  • Provide excellent customer service and create a friendly, welcoming atmosphere for our customers.
  • Communicate with owners for any issues that may arise, including but not limited to food, appliances and truck maintenance.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 25 per week
