Full Time Nanny Needed in Redmond - Infant and Toddler

Sound Care Agency, Inc.
Redmond, WA Full Time
POSTED ON 4/4/2025
AVAILABLE BEFORE 6/3/2025

Dream job alert!

These kind, generous, professional and loving parents are looking for a wonderful full time nanny to care for their 2 great kids in Redmond.

THE DETAILS

Location: Redmond / Union Hill

Start Date: Ideally, the beginning of June, but the family has flexibility to start sooner. The most important thing is that they find the right fit!

Children: 2 girls - 2.5 years and baby (born February 2025)

Schedule & Hours: M-F 8:30-5:00PM (42.5 hours week; OT)

Compensation: $35/hr DOE with room to grow

Benefits: standard benefits – guaranteed hours, PTO (vacation, sick, holidays)

Duration: The family is looking for someone that can commit long term. Ideally, they would find someone that will grow with them for the next several years! Please know that a one-year commitment is a must.

Work from home: Mom works from home 4 days/week in a dedicated office.

Pets: 2 large (very well behaved and affectionate) dogs. While the dogs are low key and the nanny will not be expected to care for them (other than to let them in/out throughout the day), they are a valued part of the family. Dog lovers are a must!

Driving: This position will require on-the-job driving. Ideally, the nanny has a car they are willing to use for transporting the kids (with mileage reimbursement, of course). But this is not a deal breaker. They can provide a car to use if needed. Both a clean driving record and full coverage auto insurance are required.

JOB DETAILS

Engaging with and meeting the children’s emotional, physical and developmental needs will ALWAYS take priority over household management duties.

In addition to caring for the children, the family is hoping to find someone who enjoys helping a household run smoothy and who has a pitch in attitude!

Household responsibilities would include:

· General tidying (keeping common and play areas picked up/tidy)

· Meal prep for the kids

· Dishes (loading/unloading dishwasher and cleaning up after meal prep)

· Laundry for the children (washing, folding, putting away). Willingness to help with family laundry would be a huge bonus!

· Keeping kids’ rooms clean and organized (including changing bed linens once/week)

ABOUT THE FAMILY

Mom and Dad have lived in the Seattle area for 9 years. They met at Stanford University in California and lived there for 10 years before moving to Washington to be closer to Mom’s family who lives in the area.

Mom is laid back and fun-loving, but also organized and direct. She enjoys relaxing with a good TV show, cooking and hosting dinners with friends and family, shopping, and hiking. She is currently on maternity leave but plans to return to work mid-July.

Dad is friendly, optimistic, loves spending time with his family and has a good sense of humor. He enjoys golfing, biking, skiing, and doing yard work. He normally works from 8-5PM Monday - Friday in-office with occasional travel.

The 2.5 year old and is a very loving and happy toddler with a big imagination and love of play. She loves playing with her baby dolls, having tea parties, going on adventures in the backyard, reading books, making music (both singing and playing instruments) and sharing stories about the day and people she loves. She also loves wearing her “pretty dresses” and playing dress up any chance she gets. She is a quintessential toddler with a sense of independence and a general joy for life. She will be attending preschool part time on Tuesday and Thursday mornings this fall. Additionally, she attends music class and gymnastics nanny-and-me classes during the week. She has always loved her sleep, taking a long three-hour nap during the day.

The baby is one month old (born February 2025) and is still discovering the world. Every week she is growing and learning new skills. Right now, she is starting to do tummy time and engage with people’s voices and faces.

As the baby gets older, the family hopes the nanny will read books with her, sing songs, go for walks, and eventually take her on outings with her big sister to the park and other activities and classes. She currently follows a general eat, play, nap schedule which the family plans to continue.

This family is dedicated to raising their children to be kind, confident, curious and loving. They do so by fostering an environment of support, nurturing, consistency, exploration and fun!

FAMILY’S HOME

The family’s home is organized and tidy (as much as it can be in a busy household) with a genuinely welcoming and laid-back vibe.

ABOUT THEIR NANNY

This family wants to find a nanny that is passionate about their chosen profession and who is a great communicator, a team player, nurturing, trustworthy, safety conscious, patient, flexible, creative, organized, responsible and engaging.

The ideal nanny for this family is someone who is experienced, genuinely enjoys their chosen profession, has a positive outlook on life, is flexible (and not rigid) in nature and who takes initiative and genuinely enjoys helping a family keep a household running.

And you can do that knowing that you will be appreciated, valued and seen as part of the parenting team!

SOME WORDS FROM THE FAMILY

In addition to any requiring driving (to/from school, etc.), will you be encouraging your nanny to get out and about (to activities, playdates, classes, etc.) with the child/ren by car? Yes, our daughter currently attends gymnastics and music class and/or goes on outings 2-3X a week. She will also be attending preschool 2X a week. We encourage them to get out of the house for both scheduled activities and occasionally other outings like the park, library, or places like the zoo or aquarium.

Do your children have any accommodations/needs the nanny needs to be aware of? The 2.5 year old has several food allergies (Nuts, Sesame, and Eggs).

What are your family/household rules? We implement rules that will ensure our children’s safety and health and improve their learning and development.

Some examples of the rules:

· Location: It’s important to us that we know where our kids are when they are away from home. Willingness to share location while on-the-job would be wonderful!

· Supervision: Nanny must provide constant and attentive supervision to the children

· Screens: No screen time at this time

· Health/Nutrition: We try to limit the number of sweets and sugar and feed the girls balanced meals, we prefer to save treats for special occasions.

Is routine and structure important to you? Yes, we are flexible but generally believe our children are at their best when we stick to a general routine, following eating and nap time schedules.

Do you have frequent/regular overnight visitors (or other adults often present) in your home (like visiting grandparents)? What does that look like? Occasionally our parents will come visit. Ryan’s parents live in Arizona and visit a couple times a year. Aimee’s family lives in the area so do not stay overnight but will visit on occasion.

Does religion play a part in your family life? If so, please feel free to share any information you feel might be helpful for us. We were both raised Catholic but are not currently practicing. Our family recognizes the major Christian holidays.

Do you or anyone in your household have allergies, intolerances, or dietary restrictions your nanny should be aware of? Our oldest is allergic to NUTS, SESAME, EGGS!!!! She should not have any food with known allergies. It is important that the nanny check ingredients on all foods before giving them to her. She has an EpiPen in her diaper bag if she has a severe reaction. We do not know if the baby has any food allergies at this time but as she begins eating solids this should be approached with extreme caution.

Is there anything you want to tell us about your family or home that we have not yet covered in this questionnaire? This is not required but we would love to find someone who is interested in traveling with us and sees this as a perk. Specifically, we recently purchased a second home in Suncadia about 1.5 hours away and we plan to go up there for the occasional long weekend. We would be working remotely during the weekdays and would love if the nanny could join us and if desired spend the night. It’s a large house with lots of space and a fun getaway!

Do you have any concerns when it comes to hiring a nanny? No major concerns but a couple of considerations; we would like someone who is open to being with us long term. Additionally, we want to ensure a smooth transition from our current nanny. Our daughter has come to love her and this will be a big change after just welcoming a newborn into the family. Lastly, it is really important that we find someone who is responsible, trustworthy, patient, and a great communicator.

Will you require your nanny to work with the child/ren are sick? Depends, we would ask that the nanny work if the children have something like a common cold, however for more serious illnesses we would not ask the nanny to come in.
