Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough reviews of all digital, print, and media content marketing materials.
- Identify and correct errors in spelling, grammar, punctuation, composition, and format.
- Review and fact-check all marketing materials, especially those containing statistics and data.
- Ensure materials align with project instructions and reference guides such as the AP Stylebook and Marketing Order Forms.
- Conduct website QA testing, including checking all tabs, links, forms, videos, and interactive features for functionality and accuracy.
- Review video content for continuity, correct labeling, data sourcing, and contact information accuracy.
- Confirm all legal disclaimers and variable content are accurate and present where required.
- Submit materials for Compliance approval and CC all relevant parties, including the Marketing Manager and Project Coordinator.
- Collaborate effectively with the marketing manager, project coordinator, and wider marketing team to ensure smooth project execution.
- Exhibit strong attention to detail and use sound judgment to identify missing, incorrect, or unnecessary elements.
- Maintain a high standard of quality across all content, ensuring it is error-free and tailored to each audience.
- Stay fully informed on the company’s services, brand standards, and client needs.
- Verify project accuracy including dates, times, page numbers, and contextual consistency.
- Must be able to work for any US employer without sponsorship.
- High school diploma required; some college, degree, or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to detect errors across various types of content.
- Familiarity with AP Style and willingness to adhere to style guidelines and internal processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other common proofreading tools or platforms.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively under tight deadlines.
- Comfortable collaborating in a team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated experience in content proofreading, editing, or quality assurance is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of marketing practices and an understanding of brand standards is a plus.
- Ability to work for extended periods at a desk using a computer with a keyboard, mouse, and monitor.
- Occasional repetitive motions for computer equipment use.
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds if/when necessary.
- Regular use of telephone and email for communication.
- Work is typically performed in an office setting, involving routine sitting, bending, and stooping.
