POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a dedicated and ambitious Information Security Intern to join our team. This intern will work closely with our cybersecurity team to assist in identifying and mitigating cybersecurity risks. The role is designed to provide hands-on experience in various aspects of information.
The Details: This is a full-time remote opportunity. 10-week internship that will run from early June through August 2025.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Review Phishing Emails: Investigate phishing emails within a sandbox environment to identify potential threats and document findings.
SIEM Alerts Review: Monitor and review low and medium alerts within the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system, escalating issues as necessary.
Security Presentations: Assist in writing and preparing presentations on various security topics for internal training and awareness programs.
Evidence Review: Participate in the review of evidence during security audits to ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
OSINT Research: Conduct Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) research to gather information on potential threats and vulnerabilities.
Education
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited program in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Prior experience or coursework in cybersecurity is preferred but not required.
Pay Range: $17-$22 per hour. Exact pay will be determined based on candidate experience and geographic location.
