What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant / Xray Technician position at Sound Pain Alliance?
We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant/X-ray Technician to join our Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) and medical team. Schedule is Monday-Thursday 7:00am - 5:30pm
At Mt. Baker Pain Clinic we specialize in the treatment of back, neck and joint pain, sciatica, cancer pain and other chronic pain conditions. We are dedicated to helping our patients take control of their lives again by controlling their pain. We strongly believe that every patient needs an individualized plan based on their specific condition and needs.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Operate C-Arm during procedures in our surgery center
- Prepare procedure room and maintain sterile practices
- Sterilize equipment and autoclave
- Room Patients in clinic
- Create and update patient's PHI in EMR
- Deliver high quality patient care through face to face, telephone and electronic contact
- Works cooperatively with other staff members and providers
Qualifications:
- Dependable
- Works well with limited supervision to complete tasks and anticipate work flow
- Adaptable and flexible
- People oriented
- Knowledge of human anatomy is a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to wear lead apron (about 15 lbs) while standing for the 10 hour work day
Competencies:
- High School Diploma or GED
- MA or NA Certification through Washington State Department of Health (and willing to obtain X-Ray Certification following on the job training)
- Strong computer skills
- Strong vocabulary, spelling and punctuation
- Prefer previous experience as a CMA or CNA. Would be willing to train the right candidate to get MA-R
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
