Pay: $25 to $40 DOE
Tukwila Ambulatory Surgery Center is looking for a Scrub Tech to work in our ambulatory surgery center in Tukwila, WA. For over 20 years our team has made a positive difference in the lives of our patients by providing exceptional care coupled with advanced therapies.
Work hours are typically 7am - 6pm Monday-Thursday. Scrub Techs do not have call, work weekends or holidays.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Completion of Scrub Tech Program
- Previous operating room experience preferred but not required
- CST certification preferred
- Computer proficiency
- Ability to sit, walk, and stand for long periods
- Physical strength for equipment needs and patient-care activities
- Visual and auditory acuity for timely responsiveness and patient-care activities
- Ability to move quickly in response to patient needs
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations

Responsibilities
- Performs specified functions to meet the requirements of each approved procedure
- Assembles supplies and equipment for scheduled procedures according to physician preference cards
- Inspects equipment for scheduled proper working condition
- Follows principles of aseptic technique when opening sterile packages and preparing for the procedure
- Confirms that instruments work properly
- Maintains availability of instruments and supplies to avoid delays
- Assists in maintaining adequate supplies in the OR for immediate access during procedures
- Assists in storing and stocking supplies/works closely with Nurse Manager
- Responds in a timely manner to meet the needs of the physicians
- Maintains current BLS certification
- Compliance with HIPAA/OSHA and AAAHC
- Other duties as assigned
