• Work alongside a Medical Director, Associate Medical Director, two clinical performance nurses, and a Program Manager

• Nurse Practitioner board certification is required
• At least one year of acute care hospitalist experience preferred.Practice in the Heart of the CommunityFlexible Scheduling :
• We seek a Nurse Practitioner for both our day and swing shifts.
• Our schedule is relatively predictable, so our team typically works 7 on / 7 off. However, our greatest need is for swing shift coverage, so someone willing to assist by working at least 6 evening shifts per month would be ideal.
• Generally, our nurse practitioners will work 7 am-5 pm and 4 pm-2 am rounding during the day shift (average of 12 patients per shift) and focusing on admissions during the evening shift (average of 7-8 admissions per shift). However, volumes can ebb and flow depending on the time of year and staffing.Key Responsibilities :
• Even though our nurse practitioners don't provide ICU coverage, our physicians may assist from a medical management perspective from time to time.
• Our team is highly engaged, so we respond to codes and rapid alerts on our patients and assist if one is called and we are nearby; we try to help each other in any way we can.
• We meet monthly as a team for a team meeting and a patient experience touch base. We also have a short morning huddle daily to secure handoffs and ensure everyone is ready for the day.Living and Working in Cedar Rapids :
