Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board Certified/Eligible in Emergency Medicine or Internal Medicine/Family Medicine with ATLS.
- Spanish proficiency preferred but not required.
- Active medical license or eligible to become licensed in New Mexico.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- New graduates welcome.
Flexible Scheduling
This role is for a nocturnist covering night shifts.
- We offer flexible scheduling options, including 12-hour shifts and consecutive days, for extended free time.
- Our emergency department provides single doctor coverage with an APP from 11 am to 11 pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide quality patient care in a rural emergency department with 12 beds in an open ICU setting, seeing 16,650 patients annually.
- Foster teamwork and support among members.
- Prioritize proper, careful, and safe patient treatment.
- Utilize advanced technology and handle transfers through the Convenant Transfer Center.
- Use EPIC as the electronic medical record system.
