We are hiring for a Nocturnist position. A Nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.

• Join our close-knit team of 18 physicians and 6 advanced practice clinicians with a clinical performance nurse at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission.
• The 54-bed hospital is a closed ICU with intensivist support.
• Work alongside a diverse group of clinicians who bring a variety of geographic, educational, and training backgrounds to our team.

• Many team members actively participate in hospital committees, such as the medical executive committee, and lead initiatives to improve patient care and update order sets.

Qualifications

• Board-certified in internal medicine or family medicine physicians.
• Accepting new graduates, residents, and fellows.
  
  

Practice in the Heart of the Community

Flexible Scheduling

• 12-hour day shifts, 8-hour swing shifts, and 10-hour night shifts
• We’re always there to support each other when covering shifts.
• Part-time Nocturnist works 5-7 shifts/month
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• See a wide variety of diseases while still having specialists readily available in a large community-based hospital with multispecialty support.
• Work in coordination with an intensivist team that handles all procedures, allowing you to focus on patient care and clinical decision-making.
• Utilize Cerner with Dragon for efficient dictation and access to our internal informatics platform for streamlined workflow and communication.
