Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Shipyard Staffing Coordinator to manage staffing operations and escort employees to various shipyard locations (Bremerton, Seattle). This dual-role position requires excellent communication, time management, and logistical skills to ensure the seamless delivery of staffing services to our clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in staffing coordination, logistics, and familiarity with the shipyard or industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Staffing Coordination:
- Collaborate with clients to understand staffing needs and job requirements.
- Assist in Recruiting, screening, and onboarding qualified candidates for shipyard positions.
- Maintain a database of active employees and their availability.
- Schedule employees to meet client demands while considering skill sets and certifications.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and industry standards.
Employee Escort Coordination:
- Escort employees to various shipyard job sites to ensure proper arrival and check-in.
- Develop efficient schedules to meet client and project deadlines.
- Serve as a point of contact for employees during site transitions.
- Ensure employees are prepared with the necessary documentation, equipment, and credentials.
Administrative Support:
- Address employee and client inquiries professionally and promptly.
- Coordinate with shipyard supervisors to monitor employee performance.
- Maintain records of employee certifications, training, and compliance documentation.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in logistics, human resources, or a related field is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, good working vehicle
- Experience in staffing, recruiting, or logistics (shipyard or industrial experience preferred).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or staffing management software.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Comfortable working in outdoor environments and various weather conditions.
Schedule:
- Full-time position with occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends based on client needs.
