Job Summary
The Manufacturing Machine Operator is responsible for operating automated manufacturing equipment per documented manufacturing assembly procedures. They may also perform manual assembly processes and / or inspections per documented procedures or other requested tasks from the manufacturing Lead and / or Supervisor.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Performs daily tasks as directed by Supervisor or Lead
- Trains to and follows documented manufacturing assembly, inspection, and testing procedures
- Sets up and operates automated equipment per documented procedures
- Troubleshoots issues with equipment and process, based on level of experience
- Performs minor equipment maintenance as directed by Lead or Supervisor
- May also manually assemble various parts using tools such as microscopes, soldering iron, tweezers, pneumatic dispensed epoxy, etc.
- Cross trains and works on several types of machines throughout the entire manufacturing process, as directed by supervisor or lead
- Performs manufacturing tasks per applicable manufacturing procedures and documentation
- Monitors multiple machines to ensure quality of parts being produced
- Performs quality inspection and testing on unassembled and assembled parts
- Responsible for the quality of parts produced
- Documents results on forms or other media as instructed per procedures using GDP (Good Documentation Practices)
- Ensures line clearance procedures are always followed
- Setup and cleans work areas, including machines, gauges, tables, and surrounding floor area
- Keeps work environment clean and organize
- Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related activities as needed
- Trains new associates to manufacturing procedures (MAP, AP, etc.)
- Adheres to safe practices and reports unsafe conditions to Supervisor or Lead
- Performs other duties or special projects or activities as requested
- Reports manufacturing issues to the lead or supervisor when they arise to keep machine down time to a minimal

This position primarily works in a production environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing and walking, and the ability to lift and carry maximum 50 lbs.
