Essential Job Functions
- Demonstrates SoundOff Signal’s Core Values in daily interactions with internal and external customers.
- Design, build and support board-level and product-level performance and functional testers
- Write and debug test station software.
- Responsible for the development of test plans and test set-up prototypes for new product launches as a key member of launch cross functional teams.
- Extensive Software Development experience required. (LabVIEW experience is preferred)
- Collaborate with SoundOff Electrical Engineering team to ensure our products’ circuits are designed for testability.
- Collaborate with SoundOff Software Engineering teams to specify requirements for embedded test access and APIs.
- Collaborate with SoundOff Firmware Engineering teams to specify requirements for product diagnostic and testing.
- Create and maintain test platforms – including hardware, software, and executable test code with scripting.
- Research technologies for our next generation testing applications
- Able to create, read and comprehend electrical schematics.
- Supporting all current production testing equipment as needed.
- Testing equipment set-up, validation, operator training, and continuous support is key.
- Basic IT skillset required including basic networking and PC set up.
- Work closely with the quality department to identify product testing problem areas and solutions.
- Become intimately familiar with SoundOff Signal’s products and manufacturing processes
- Foster professional working relationship with engineering staff and manufacturing employees.
- Focus on safe test environments for all employees.

Job Requirements
- BSCE, BSCS, or BSEE degree preferred. (or equivalent experience may be considered)
- 4 years working experience in Test Engineering or related field.
- Working knowledge of LabVIEW programming language is a plus.
- Automotive electronics background a plus. (LIN, CAN, DOT, etc)
- Previous experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment involving prototype fabrication, testing, validation and design support.
- Previous experience in electronic design troubleshooting.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Skilled in managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency of the basic Microsoft software packages including Word and Excel.
- General mechanical aptitude in a shop environment. (hand tools, light duty power tools, calipers, etc.)
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift 35 lbs.
- Able to stand, sit, walk, bend, twist, rotate, and/or reach throughout work shift.
- Must be able to handle and work with small parts.
Working Conditions
- Even mix of office and manufacturing environments.
- Fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Low noise level in a temperature-controlled setting.
- Some level of domestic and/or international travel may be required.
- Mostly normal business hours with the occasional need to flex hours.
