About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior Environmental Project Manager to support and manage projects related to wetlands, streams, shorelines, and critical areas in the Puget Sound region. This role is ideal for professionals with 1 to 4 years of experience in environmental consulting or related fields such as Environmental Science, Biology, or Environmental Planning. The position involves a balance of fieldwork and office-based project coordination, supporting senior team members and clients through permitting processes and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with managing natural resource and environmental planning projects.
- Support field efforts, including wetland, stream, habitat, and shoreline assessments.
- Contribute to the preparation of environmental documentation and permit applications, permits and project tracking (e.g., JARPAs, wetland delineation reports, mitigation plans).
- Conduct research on environmental regulations and local critical area codes.
- Help develop project scopes, track timelines and budgets, and ensure deliverables are met.
- Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and tribal representatives under the guidance of senior staff.
- Maintain a high level of organization and ensure quality in all deliverables.
- Assist in invoice tracking and documentation in line with company policies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Biology, Environmental Planning, or related field.
- 1–4 years of experience in environmental consulting, planning, or related project work.
- Familiarity with wetland and critical area assessments, ecological restoration, and permitting processes ( JARPA, SEPA, HPA, etc.).
- Understanding of relevant regulations (e.g., Clean Water Act, SEPA/NEPA, Shoreline Management Act).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Outlook.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and grow.
- WA Driver’s License and reliable transportation required.
