What are the responsibilities and job description for the Music Therapist position at Soundwave Music Therapy?
Join our talented team of therapists in the Sunshine State!
We are in search of full- and part-time music therapists seeking to build their careers, develop their skills, and - most importantly - serve our clients with compassionate, top-quality care.
Soundwave Music Therapy is a rapidly-growing private practice in the desirable Jacksonville area. We currently serve clients across five counties. Our model includes one-to-one work with clients in homes and our office, as well as group therapy sessions in facilities. This opportunity will include work in a wide range of settings, such as pediatrics, rehabilitation, behavioral health, substance abuse, special education, and end-of-life care.
Everyday, we foster hope, joy, and transformation through the power of therapeutic experiences in every life we touch. We welcome you to join us in our mission!
Music therapists are the heart of our team. All therapists manage an independent caseload under the supervision of the Clinical Director. Caseloads are comprised of clients with various prognoses, and are developed based on (1) clinical need, (2) geographic location, and (3) therapist specialty. Music Therapists commute to the location of each client (in homes or facilities), plan and lead all sessions, document progress notes, and coordinate with our leadership team. The Pediatric Music Therapist serves children and with disabilities and medical complexities. Clients are seen on an individual and group basis.
Soundwave offers a competitive benefits package, a flexible schedule (putting clients’ needs first), opportunities for professional development, and the best culture for any music therapist in Jacksonville.
