About the Organization and Position
Wonderful, well established non-profit provider of behavioral health services to children, youth, and families is searching for a Director of Behavioral Health for their team. As the oldest children’s charity in the Western US, this organization helps individuals and their loved ones who struggle with mental illness and behavioral health issues by providing treatment, prevention programs to children, youth, families, foster care, education, behavioral health, mental health, crisis intervention, crisis stabilization, after school programs and much more.
Position Summary
This is a senior director level position that holds responsibility for developing and leading the outpatient services, providing day-to-day operational management, and monitoring data and continuous quality improvement indicators.

Responsibilities:
Essential Functions
- Provide operational programmatic oversight to Outpatient Mental Health and Family Therapy Services.
- Lead the Outpatient team through implementation and growth process.
- Identify new Outpatient clinical business opportunities and actively participate in marketing activities.
- Ability to be on-site 70% of the time.
- Ensure that services meet best practices and compliance with standards of care based upon client needs and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and other support departments to review financials, meet targets, ensure compliance, mitigate risk and negotiate contracts.
- Set clear goals and expectations, track progress against the goals, ensure feedback, and address performance issues promptly.
- Directly supervise staff to ensure the proper delivery of services.
- Collaborate and interface with partners.
Requirements
- LCSW, LMFT, PsyD
- A minimum of five years of work experience in a therapeutic setting with children, youth, and families.
- Experience designing, implementing and growing new programs.
- Demonstrated ability in working collaboratively with individuals and groups
- Excellent verbal, written, and consultation skills
- Valid CA Driver’s License
