About the Organization and Position
Well known non-profit in Upper Manhattan is searching for an experienced HR Director for their program that is in high growth mode. The HR Director oversees all aspects of human resources including benefits, talent acquisition and training and development.
This organization as a whole provides behavioral and case management support services to the local community and is well known for their therapeutic preschool, child and adolescent programs and case management and therapeutic support for adults.

Responsibilities
- Partners with Program leadership on all aspects of the recruitment process, including review and evaluation of the job description and its approval by Administration, providing guidance for recruitment strategies and using best practices relating to resume review, candidate interviews, reference checking, finalist selection.
- Interacts with all levels of management and staff regarding a variety of HR issues by responding to employee inquiries and interpreting policies appropriately.
- Working with the Deputy Executive Director, communicates relevant policy updates to employees and managers, creating useful tools as needed.
- Provides guidance on matters related to the manager-employee relationship in consultation with the Deputy Executive Director, including performance management, employee/labor relations and professional development, reward and recognition.
- Participates in investigatory, disciplinary and grievance activities, including those involving union employees.
- Manage the company's compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they remain competitive and compliant with industry standards.
- Develop and monitor HR metrics to assess the effectiveness of HR programs and identify areas for improvement.
- o Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management on HR-related matters.
- Create and execute effective onboarding programs to ensure new employees integrate smoothly into the company.
- o Develop succession plans and talent development strategies to nurture high-potential employees.
Experience
- Bachelors degree or higher required
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience required.
- Employee relations experience is required. Experience working in a union environment a plus.
- Excellent computer skills including thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office, including knowledge of databases and advanced spreadsheet skills required.
