About the Organization and Position
Amazing Tribal Organization is hiring a Nurse Practitioner for their clinic. The NP would see about 8-10 patients a day across the life span depending on the schedule. This is a large clinic with a full schedule . All patients are seen in one single location. Newest equipment and electronic charting!
4 -10 hour shifts preferred but will accommodate alternate schedules.
This clinic is located In the beautiful Sierra Nevada Foothills, in the heart of California's “Gold Country” lies Sonora, named after the miners from Sonora Mexico who settled the area. This is a strong tribal community with deep roots in the area and are looking for a Dentist that shares their passion for helping others.

Responsibilities
- The Nurse Practitioner independently performs comprehensive history and physical examinations for perioperative and primary care patients, assessing both normal and abnormal findings.
- They evaluate and treat acute injuries and illnesses, provide preventive healthcare services, and monitor the effectiveness of interventions.
- Responsibilities include ordering and interpreting diagnostic and therapeutic tests, prescribing medications, and implementing treatment plans in compliance with standardized procedures, federal and state regulations, and Indian Health Service (IHS) guidelines.
- Coordinates follow-up services, including lab work, imaging, specialist referrals, and scheduling of appointments through the Medical Receptionist.
- Provides patient and family education on health promotion, risk management, and disease prevention while interfacing with community organizations to identify and connect individuals with necessary resources.
Experience
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and a Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Must hold an active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in the state of California, along with DEA registration and prescriptive authority in California.
