What you’ll be doing
As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for a range of activities, including staging jobs in respective departments, requesting materials, and closing out work orders.
Responsibilities
- Ensure orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from the queued area
- Deliver production materials and supplies where needed and stage finished product final distribution.
- Perform goods receipt and material movement transactions within the ERP system
- Work with the Team to identify and expedite priorities based on customer requirements
- Ensure strict adherence to safety guidelines and company standards
- Maintain equipment and work area in an orderly manner
- Perform other duties/projects as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
- High School Diploma / GED
· Must have experience operating a forklift
· Ability to use all related tools and equipment effectively and safely
- Ability to work cooperatively with members of other teams to meet goals
- Must be available to work overtime if required
Physical Demands
· Mobility necessary to perform a variety of tasks that involve standing, walking, sitting, stooping, kneeling, bending, and twisting, possibly reaching chest high and overhead for materials
· Ability to lift/move/pull 10-50lbs occasionally throughout the day
· Ability to hear adequately on the phone or in person and group settings
· Vision: Required to have close visual acuity, color vision, and depth perception
· Use of hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate standard tools and equipment
· Must be able to stand and or walk (90% of the day) and consistently reach, bend, and move inside the facility to move product
