Internal Medicine Physician Job Opportunity in Oroville, CA
We are seeking a highly skilled Internal Medicine physician to join our medical team in Oroville, California. This is a full-time, permanent position that requires a Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
About the Role:
- Examine and diagnose patients to determine the best course of treatment.
- Prescribe and administer medication as needed.
- Supervise and direct family nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other mid-level providers.
- Oversee the performance of nursing and other support personnel.
- Review laboratory, x-ray findings, and other test results to inform diagnoses.
- Document patient information in electronic health records and maintain accurate case histories according to corporate procedures.
- Participate in consumer education and in-service training for support staff.
- Ensure high-quality care by adhering to quality measures and participating in peer review.
- Provide virtual care services, including phone and video consultations, to assess patient needs and provide guidance or treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a panel of primary care patients, providing comprehensive care, including acute care, chronic disease management, and preventive care.
- Act as supervising physician to nurse practitioners and physician assistants, guiding their practice and ensuring high-quality patient care.
