Tool & Die Maker
Up to $40/hour based on experience
We are seeking a skilled Tool & Die Maker to join our team! In this role, you will design, build, and maintain tools, dies, and jigs to support cold heading and thread rolling manufacturing operations. This position requires precision, attention to detail, and collaboration with engineering and production teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, fabricate, and maintain tools, dies, and jigs using lathes, mills, and grinders.
- Assemble jig kits, gauges, and other equipment to support manufacturing.
- Operate and maintain tool room equipment, including lathes, mills, and surface grinders.
- Ensure accurate tool inventory through proper inventory controls.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to solve daily issues.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Tool & Die Maker in cold heading and thread rolling operations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Strong math, mechanical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements, including Electrical Safety, Machine Guarding, and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent (trade school apprenticeship experience preferred).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (with assistance if over 50 lbs.).
- Must be able to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms for long periods.
- Good close vision and depth perception are essential.
