Job Description: Wire Harness / Cable Assembler
Location: Binghamton NY 13905
We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Wire Harness / Cable Assemblers for a high-tech, high-power EV manufacturer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling custom wire harnesses and cable assemblies with precision and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and follow wire harness assembly instructions.
- Gather materials and tools needed for the job in an organized manner.
- Route, wire, and assemble electronic components using wire layout boards.
- Operate semi-automatic equipment such as crimp presses, wire twisters, and wire strippers.
- Conduct functional and continuity tests on wire harnesses and cable assemblies.
- Solder wires to switches or connectors.
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of in-process and finished assemblies.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous assembly or production experience and strong mechanical aptitude.
- Excellent attention to detail and hand dexterity.
- Proficient in basic math and the ability to read a ruler.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to distinguish colored wires for accurate assembly.
Position Details:
- Pay Rate: $18 to $21 hourly (DOE)
- Schedule: Morning Shift, Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- Type: Temp to hire
