Inspection Technician I

Source One is a consulting services company and we’re currently looking for the following individual to work as a consultant to our direct client, a global medical device company in Fort Worth, TX.

Job Title: Inspection Technician I (Contractor)

Shift: 2nd Shift, M-F, 1:30 pm - 10:00 pm

Pay Range: $24.19/hr - $27.19/hr W-2

The contract duration is initially 12 months with possible extension

Summary: The Inspection Technician Associate works in the areas of inspection or quality test of products within the surgical instrumentation and quality organization. Perform quality inspections to standard AQLs. Tasks will typically be interpreting blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications and geometric dimensioning and tolerance in order to qualify parts into stock locations.

Responsibilities:

- Inspect purchased parts, assemblies, hardware, special processes and materials for conformance to engineering requirements and specifications

- Examine items for defects in materials, work and damage occurring in transit

- Compare quantity and part number of items received with purchasing data and other specifications to ensure completeness and accuracy of order

- Compare quantity and part number of items received with purchasing data and other specifications to ensure completeness and accuracy of order

- Experience in manufacturing inspection, repair, test, or quality with demonstrated hands-on electromechanical testing preferred within a medical device industry

- Experience using CMM, Optical Comparator, Height gages, V-Blocks, Thread Gages, Micrometers and Calipers

- Experience performing First Article Inspections

Requirements:

- High School Diploma or equivalent

- 1 year of relevant experience
