Lead Clinician

The Lead Clinician is responsible for coordinating providing mental health screenings and counseling intervention services, as well as continually monitoring and documenting minors' mental well-being and overall adjustment to the Unaccompanied Minor's program. The clinician's functions are performed as part of a multi-disciplinary team and include development and implementation of client service plans, facilitating transfers, referrals, and reunification planning. All duties will be performed based on education, training, and certified counseling experience within the social service field. The Lead Clinician is subject to work extended hours and weekends, and to be on-call as needed.Job ID : 2025-28339# Positions : 1Category : Licensed ClinicalSalary : $98,000.00 / yrEssential Functions : Coordinate clinical services by providing oversight, and training of staff clinicians, monitoring clinical services documentation, and developing and maintaining ongoing partnerships with third-party, community-based providers.Coordinate intake, admission, and screenings with minors, and document results according to SWK standards.Collaborate with treatment team members and minors to develop service plans.Ensure that all minors receive one-to-one counseling and crisis intervention.Ensure that all minors receive educational support and participate in counseling.Continually monitor the mental well-being of minors and arrange for appropriate third-party services.Provide consultation and documentation regarding clients' functioning, mental health status, and treatment.Provide clinical services within Southwest Key, in accordance with licensing and funding source guidelines.Participate in and comply with all meetings, assignments, process improvement, and quality improvement initiatives as assigned by supervisor.Other Functions : Attend all organizational required meetings.Attend all departmental and program meetings to ensure that up-to-date information is received and / or information on policy changes or practices is adhered to.Assist in the evacuation of youth as needed due to inclement weather conditions, natural disasters, or other unforeseen occurrences.Travel as needed for trainings, conferences or to transport youth to destinations.Maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free work environment.Always ensure the proper supervision of youth.Respond to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.Qualifications and Requirements : These requirements may be waived with written approval from the ORR Project Officer.Master's degree in social work (MSW) and five years of full-time direct service delivery experience OR a master's degree in psychology, counseling, or other relevant behavioral science fields in which clinical training and experience is a program requirement.Licensed to provide clinical services in the State where the care provider is located.One year of supervisory experience.Two years of postgraduate direct service delivery experience conducting clinical interviewing and assessment, as individual and group counseling.Experience working with children, youth, and / or families from high-risk backgrounds.Successful completion of 86 hours of pre-service training and job orientation.Required to work a flexible schedule to facilitate program needs.Cleared Tuberculosis test.Cleared background check from appropriate authorities.Compliance with annual requirement of 50 training hours as mandated by SWK, ORR, and state licensing.Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of employment.Preferred Qualifications : Experience working with children and youth in inpatient, residential, or detention settings.Experience working with unaccompanied children.Ability to communicate in multiple languages (e.g., Turkish, Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali, French, Arabic / English).Physical Demands : Must be able to obtain Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification and First Aid Certification (CPR). Must be able to supervise minors indoors and outdoors as necessary. Bending, stooping, and lifting up to 15 lbs. are required to complete daily tasks.Work Environment : This is a twenty-four-hour residential facility at which minors receive various services. It requires three shifts to cover a twenty-four-hour period, which are subject to change. Noise level varies from mild to moderate.
