Job Description:
- Diagnose and repair complex drivability, performance, and electrical issues on GM vehicles
- Perform factory level repairs on GM vehicles including engine overhauls, transmission rebuilds, computer system programming, and advanced calibrations
- Utilize specialized service tools and advanced diagnostic equipment for GM vehicles
- Provide second level troubleshooting on difficult cases dealership technicians are unable to resolve
- Serve as a mentor to apprentices
- Advise service advisor on required repairs, priority status, and optimal repair procedures for GM vehicles
- Perform test drives and verify repair quality pre/post repair before vehicle release
- Maintain repair logs with detailed documentation of work performed
Experience:
- 5-10 years experience diagnosing and repairing GM vehicles
- Current GM World Class Technician certification
- Master level knowledge of GM drivetrain, electrical, performance, and electronic systems
- Advanced skills in diagnostic methods, programming, calibration
- Excellent leadership, teaching, and mentoring abilities
- Committed to ongoing GM specialty training
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
