Our client, a premier consumer product good manufacturer is seeking an experienced onsite Cost Control Manager for one of their regional plant manufacturing facilities.

Manage the cost accounting activities and its support team. Analyze manufacturing costs and implementing cost-saving initiatives to enhance profitability in the manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities:

• Cost Analysis: Evaluate and analyze manufacturing costs to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
• Budget Management: Assist in the development and management of annual budgets, providing insights into cost allocation and resource utilization.
• Reporting: Prepare detailed cost reports and presentations for management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
• Cost Control Measures: Develop and implement cost control policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and analyze inventory costs, ensuring accuracy in valuation and reporting.
• Collaboration: Work closely with production, procurement, and finance teams to align cost management strategies with overall business goals.
• Variance Analysis: Conduct regular variance analyses to compare actual costs to budgeted costs and investigate discrepancies.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements that can lead to cost reductions and increased efficiency.
• Training and Development: Provide guidance and training to staff on cost accounting practices and tools.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations related to cost accounting practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's preferred).
• 5 years of accounting experience with a manufacturing company.
• 3 years of related experience in a leadership position.
• Proven experience in cost accounting or financial analysis within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and techniques.
• Experience with ERP systems, SAP, SQL.
