Who We Are ...

SourceAmerica is searching for a Subject Matter Expert, Janitorial/Custodial to join its team. This position will be responsible for the technical and industry knowledge support of new and existing business for SourceAmerica, affiliates NPA’s and producer NPA’s specifically supporting the business needs in Custodial Maintenance Management on a National basis. Provide technical and sales support for the Business Line. Act as sustainable resource for SourceAmerica assisting in growth of the lines of business; support the identification, suitability, capture, development, transition, start up and addition to new opportunities and projects along with additional services to existing projects technical and certification support for Community Rehabilitation Programs and Non-Profit Agencies (CRPs/NPAs) along with SourceAmerica Offices under the AbilityOne Program.

This position helps connect our network of over 575 Non-Profit agencies with federal procurement opportunities across the United States! Our network of Non-Profit Agencies (NPAs) perform service and product contracts mainly for Federal agencies and help employ over 33,000 people with disabilities nationally.

Your Impact ...

As a Subject Matter Expert, Janitorial/Custodial, your work functions will include but are not limited to the following. A full position description will be given to candidates at the time of the interview. 

  • Review and evaluate federal service contract requirements for Custodial Maintenance Services for their suitability for the program.
  • Perform on-site Custodial Maintenance Services evaluations and advise internal project manager/analysts, NPA contact managers and federal contracting officials on the most efficient workflow and processes.
  • Provide technical knowledge and advise on the Custodial Maintenance Services and management processes.
  • Work independently to provide technical support on Custodial Maintenance Service projects to NPAs to include training, Readiness Team, Project Assistance, and operational reviews. Prepare pertinent LOB information and materials needed to conduct reviews.
  • Business travel is required for this position based on business need.
  • Other responsibilities will be assigned as organizational needs arise.

Salary Range

The salary for this position falls in a range between $66,022 - $98,496 depending on your experience and geographic location in the United States.

What You Must Have ...

  • Associates Degree in a relevant field of study from an accredited institution instead of applicable skills training. SourceAmerica recognizes 1.5 years of experience = 1 year of college, should the candidate not meet the educational requirement.
  • 5 years of relevant experience and knowledge of facilities maintenance and custodial services contracts.
  • Proven leadership skills as a team player/builder and a driver of value-added results.
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing operations, project planning, cost control, and program management.
  • 50 to 75 percent business travel is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in a relevant field of study from an accredited institution.
  • 7 years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of Project Management/Business Management for Custodial Maintenance methodologies.
  • Experience in Project Management of implementing new Custodial Maintenance Services contracts and operations and/or improvement programs for existing contracts/operations.
  • Extensive experience devising detailed Custodial Maintenance plans.
  • Extensive experience in Custodial development management.
  • Experience with the latest Custodial Maintenance technologies and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and decision-making skills with the ability to resolve complex matters.
  • Constantly utilizes high level of interpersonal skills, negotiation skills, and organizational skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills including presentation skills to senior level management.
  • Personal computer skills especially database, spreadsheet and word processing applications.
  • Ability to lead a project team, handle multiple priorities in demanding conditions.
  • Experience Managing Custodial Maintenance Contracts.
  • Experience in writing technical and marketing white papers for the Custodial Maintenance Management Industry.
  • Maintain Industry associations and certifications.
  • Requires travel up to 50%-75% of the time.
  • Extensive knowledge and background in the Custodial Maintenance Industry.
  • Effective presentation, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple customers with competing priorities.
  • Able to handle multiple, complex actions with varying priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • The ability to acquire additional technical knowledge skill sets as required by the mission.
  • Able to analyze, problem solve and assist NPAs to implement solutions.
  • Able to interact professionally with senior officials in the public and private sectors.
  • Strong analytical and personal computer skills to include MS Office, Visio, MS Project.
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations, DOL and AbilityOne regulations.
  • Experience specifically in-service delivery within federal or commercial service operations, consulting, pricing and proposal building processes.
  • Proven experience in customer satisfaction, contract performance/quality management, and problem solving within private, non-profit, or government sector.
  • We use Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) as our primary business application system for much of our office processes— experience with D365 or using similar methods is preferred.

Work Environment

Our organization offers both a hybrid work model—where employees work in our office two to three days per week and work from home the balance of the workweek—as well as a fully remote work model, depending on the job requirements and one’s proximity to one of our offices in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, or the Washington, DC-area.
