The Sr. Contract and Financial Specialist for the Information Technology (IT) team supports the Office of the CIO and plays a critical role in the financial and operational performance of the IT organization. This role is responsible for analyzing IT budgets, expenditures, and financial trends to ensure alignment with business objectives, maintains the portfolio of contracted resources that support IT operations, and additional administrative responsibilities for the IT team. The position works closely with IT leadership, Finance, Procurement, and governance teams to provide data-driven insights that support strategic decision-making and cost optimization. Additionally, this role facilitates financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis to improve IT investment planning and resource allocation.
- Due to the requirements of this position, one’s proximity must be near our offices in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, or the Washington, DC-area. SourceAmerica's employees who live within 30 commuting miles of our offices work in a hybrid setting with 2-3 days in office and the balance as remote work.
What You Will Do ...
Contract Management
- Manages vendor relationships and IT contracts for staffing and service needs.
IT Financial Planning & Analysis
- Develops and maintains IT financial models, forecasts, and budget tracking mechanisms and provides insights to the CIO and IT leadership.
- Provides financial insights and recommendations to the CIO and IT leadership.
- Provides financial analysis for IT projects, helping to assess ROI and total cost of ownership (TCO).
Governance & Compliance
- Supports IT leadership in financial decision-making and audits by preparing reports, presentations, and dashboards.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Assists in the preparation of executive reports and presentations for the CIO and governance committees.
Qualifications & Experience You Must Have ...
- Associate's degree in areas such as Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, technology or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in directly performing financial analysis, budgeting, or business analysis and collaborating with partners in Accounting and Finance at an organization
- Strong analytical skills with experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
- Proficiency in financial tracking tools, Excel, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to synthesize complex financial data into actionable insights.
Preferred Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in areas such as Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, technology or a related field.
- Strong preference for experience managing contracts and financials for an IT team.
- Vendor negotiation and familiarity with contract language, terms, and conditions.
- Familiarity with IT governance frameworks, SAFe, and Lean Portfolio Management (LPM).
Work Environment
Our organization offers both a hybrid work model—where employees work in our office two to three days per week and work from home the balance of the workweek.
