Chief Financial Officer | Distributed Energy Storage | NYC (In-Office)
We’re supporting a fast-growing developer and operator of distributed energy storage in the search for their founding CFO. If you’re a senior finance leader with deep project finance experience, ready to raise >$1B over the next five years and build a high-performing capital markets team from scratch - this is your platform.
The role:
This is a true executive seat. You’ll lead all capital markets, corporate finance, and project finance activity. That includes structuring and raising project equity, non-recourse debt, and tax equity; building FP&A and treasury capabilities; and managing investor communications across the board. You’ll also develop processes for risk management, portfolio valuation, and strategic capital planning.
What you bring:
- 10 years’ relevant experience, including time as a senior financial exec
- Direct experience with renewable project finance and energy tax equity
- Deep relationships with capital providers across the corporate and project stack
- A track record of building and leading high-performing finance teams
- Strong modeling and valuation instincts
- Bonus: early-stage PE/VC-backed company experience, ERP/system knowledge
