POSITION
We are seeking a self-sufficient detail oriented Electrical / Systems Manufacturing Engineer. The candidate must be able to work on several projects at one time while maintaining a high personal standard of performance to support the growing engineering operations. This position reports directly to our Director of Manufacturing Engineering and will be located at our Milford, MA facility.
Under minimal supervision, the successful candidate will be responsible for detailing, creating, testing, documenting and releasing all output aspects required to deliver to the manufacturing floor.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluates electrical systems, products, components, and schematics.
- Confirms system's and components' capabilities by designing testing methods; testing properties.
- Researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials.
- Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for building and assembling electrical components, while working closely with Electrical Engineering personnel.
- Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.
- Serves as a project team member on new product introduction (NPI) projects to advise on suitability of design for DFM (design for manufacturing).
- Prepares product DVT reports by collecting and analyzing data.
- Provides engineering information by answering questions and requests.
- Keeps equipment operational by following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting repair service.
- Completes projects by training and guiding electrical mechanical technicians.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Able to create / edit / update procedures as processes evolve.
- Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining schedule dates.
- Maintain sustaining engineering tasks.
- Acts as a liaison between engineering and manufacturing departments and personnel.

Pay Range : $75,000 - $79,000 per year
