What are the responsibilities and job description for the Information Technology Support Specialist position at SourceFactor?
SourceFactor is helping our client find an on-site IT / Desktop Support Specialist with experience supporting the day-to-day IT needs for a team of executives and corporate staff. This role is on-site 5 days per week at their offices in Reston, VA.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Tier 1 in-person technical support in an M365 environment to executives and other professional staff
- Strong focus on communication skills and delivering top-tier service to the executive team. Complex issues will be escalated to more senior engineers, but this role will be on-site and in person working with the team.
- Respond promptly to service requests and resolve technical issues in a timely manner and with a high level of professionalism.
- Perform on-site installations, configurations, and maintenance of hardware, software, and network devices.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software problems, including desktops, laptops, printers, and networking equipment.
- Help support asset management
Key Qualifications and Skills:
- 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a corporate IT support or managed services environment.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and commonly used business applications.
- Experience with network technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and wireless networking.
- Microsoft 365 basic administration
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and team members.
Salary : $50,000 - $65,000
