We are seeking an OSP Fielder to join our team. This role requires experience in aerial fiber optics and utility pole infrastructure, as well as a keen attention to detail to ensure accurate fielding and data collection.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct field surveys and collect data for aerial telecommunications projects.
- Assess utility poles, clearances, and existing infrastructure to determine placement feasibility.
- Identify and document potential obstructions or hazards.
- Work closely with engineers, designers, and construction teams to provide accurate field data.
- Use GIS mapping tools and field software for data entry and project tracking.
- Interpret engineering drawings, pole loading requirements, and permitting guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, local regulations, and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and clients to address project requirements.
Requirements:
- Experience in aerial fiber optic fielding, telecommunications, or utility pole surveying.
- Strong understanding of NESC (National Electrical Safety Code) and local jurisdictional requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret fiber design plans and construction drawings.
- Proficiency with mapping tools, GPS, and field survey software (i.e., Google Earth, AutoCAD, ArcGIS).
- Comfortable working in various outdoor conditions, including urban, suburban, and rural environments.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in fiber optics, telecommunications construction, or pole loading analysis.
- Familiarity with permitting processes and utility coordination.
- OSHA certifications or safety training.

Pay: $60,736.00 - $91,104.00 per year
