Job Summary
South Arkansas Regional Airport is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Airport Operations & Maintenance Technician. This role is essential to maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of the airport by performing aircraft services, facility maintenance, airfield upkeep, and groundskeeping.

Responsibilities & Duties Aircraft Services
- Marshal arriving and departing aircraft, ensuring safe ground operations.
- Fuel aircraft according to safety and operational procedures.
- Tow aircraft to designated parking or hangar areas as required.
- Provide customer service to pilots and flight crews, ensuring their needs are met efficiently and professionally.
Facility & Equipment Maintenance
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on airport buildings, hangars, and facilities.
- Conduct minor building repairs
- Maintain and repair airport signage, lighting systems, and navigational aids to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Keep airfield pavement, taxiways, and runways in good condition by performing necessary repairs and maintenance.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, including floor scrubbers and general custodial supplies, to keep terminal facilities clean and presentable.
Groundskeeping & Airfield Maintenance
- Operate various equipment, including tractors with loaders, bush hogs, Ex-Mark mowers, and other landscaping tools to maintain airport grounds.
- Mow grass along taxiways, runways, and common areas to ensure clear visibility and safety.
- Maintain landscaping, including trimming shrubs, weeding flowerbeds, and planting seasonal flowers around airport property.
- Perform fence and gate repairs to ensure airport security and operational integrity.
- Remove debris and hazards from airport grounds to comply with safety regulations.
Additional Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with airport staff, tenants, and aviation personnel to ensure smooth airport operations.
- Adhere to all airport safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by airport management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience with FBO services, airport operations, or related equipment is a plus but not required—training provided.
- Strong ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of oneself or others.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
- Must be available for weekend shifts, on-call duties, and holiday assignments as needed.
- Willingness to take direction, learn new tasks, and operate all assigned equipment safely.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs regularly and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Preferred: Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
